Bishop Akubeze from Igbo land who was ILLEGALLY ELECTED to be the Nepotist, Tribalist and Terrorist Bishop has singled out the Benin Catholic Christians of the Benin diocese out punitive measures for correctly DEMANDING for a BENIN BISHOP for the Archdiocese of Benin that has over 300 Church Parish and Internal Generated Revenue (IGR) of over N3 billion annually.
Because of the typical Igbo man’s love of money that causes them to sacrifice the parents, spouses, siblings and children for ritual blood money this Tribalist and Terrorist Bishop Akubese has decided to become HAMAN the Agaggite who is hell bent on destroying the Benin Catholic Christians in their own Benin Diocese in Benin Land because of their Benin Billions.
This is a clarion ll to all Benin people both Christians and Non-Christians to arise in battle to DESTROY this Igbo Bishop and all his fellow “Igbo people” out of our Benin Land back to their Igbo land forever before they end destroying our Benin People in our own Benin Land.
Any Benin man or woman who support or defends this Tribalist & Terrorist Igbo Bishop Akubeze in his ACTS OF TERRORISM against our Benin Catholics should be branded as a collaborating TRAITOR and destroyed out of Benin Kingdom forever.
How dare this Igbo rat from Anambra come to Benin to be attacking and killing out Benin priests with witchcraft and occult powers in the name of remaining the Bishop of Benin Diocese do or die?
How come can an Igbo man who has always been the SLAVE of the Benin man for centuries before the era of colonialism now want to rule over a Benin man in Benin land for that matter in the name of Christianity?

How come a Benin Bishop has never been ELECTED in Benin Diocese of the Catholic Church or in any other Diocese in Nigeria if it is not a NEPOTIST & TRIBALIST AGENDA of hatred and discrimination against the Benin Priests and people by the Igbo and Yoruba Bishops in the Nigerian caucus
We Sophisticated and Civilized Benins established in Benin City the first Christian Churches in Black Africa together with the Portuguese Catholic Priest over 500 years ago when these Igbo and Yoruba pagans were still BARBARIANS & BUSHMEN that were hunting and gathering in the West African jungle as our slaves, serfs and servants. The servant can never be greater than the master! God Forbid!
Let it be known to all the Benin people both in the homestead and the diasporas that we have launched forth : OPERATION DESTROY THE IGBO BISHOP FROM BENIN DIOCESE!!
We will start to expose all the SCANDALOUS EVILS of this Igbo Bishop called Augstine Akubeze that he has been perpetrating against our Catholic Benin Priests and Laity in the Benin Diocese in the last 5 years of his ILLEGAL Bishopric so that the Catholic Authorities will know that it will be much wiser for them to remove this Terrorist Igbo Bishop from the Benin Diocese and replace him with a Benin Bishop forthwith or face the wrath of the Benin People and their Benin Ancestors who can never allow a stark stranger to come to Benin Land to attack Benin People without striking back in a very deadly and dangerous manner both spiritually and otherwise.
We Benins birthed the Catholic Church in Black Africa and defended the Christian Church in the West Africa coast from being destroyed and swallowed up by the marauding Islamic Jihadist from the north all through the previous centuries of the spread of Islam by the sword from Cameroon to Ivory Coast that were directly under the Imperial Protection of the Great Oba of the Great Benin Empire. To the extent the Pope wrote to the Oba to continue to help and protect the Christian Churches along the lucrative Trans Atlantic Trade Coast lest the “Mohammedans” usurp its control from the European Christian traders and impose their Islamic Jihad on the African Christians by force.
Again in this modern era of Christianity it was here in Benin City that the Pentecostal Church was first birthed by a Benin Arch Bishop in the person of Benson Idahosa of blessed memory and his Pentecostal “Church of God Mission”, from where it spread to all over the African continent and beyond. Today every Pentecostal Church in Africa is a direct or indirect parish of the Benin Pentecostal Church of God Mission. Take or leave it!
While the Pentecostal Churches in Nigeria are replete with Benin pastors and even the Anglican Church of Nigeria in its Benin Diocese has a Benin Bishop. Yet in spite of it all, this same Catholic Church of cannot boast of a single “Benin Bishop” in any single diocese any where in the world, even in all of Africa and West Africa, not to talk of Nigeria, talkless of Benin City the globally acknowledged “Pioneering Home” of Christianity, Catholicism and Pentecostalism in Black Africa.
It is scandalous and disgraceful as it smacks of a tyrannical conspiracy against the Benin Catholics by their Igbo and Yoruba Catholic counterparts to MISLEAD the Vatican not recognize the competency and capability of Benin Priests for higher service in the Catholic Church as a Bishop of a Diocese even in the Benin home land, as they are the ones who elects or recommends Bishops to the Vatican for appointment. Because if they do not elect or recommend a Benin bishop for appointment because of their nepotistic and tribalistic tendencies how will the Vatican be able to appoint a Benin priest?
We Benins in our Benin homeland have been very hospitable and accommodating to the modern Catholic Church in Benin in the last century to the extent that most of the largest Church Parishes in the Benin Diocese like St Paul, Holy Cross, St Philomena and many others were built on land FREELY bequeathed to the Catholic Church for evangelical reasons by the Oba of Benin.
So if the Catholic Church does not deem it NEEDFUL NDEED to right this wrong now and appoint a Benin Bishop for Benin Diocese in the interest of peace, unity, equity and justice for the Benin Catholics according to the tenets of the Holy Bible which said that the Apostles in Judea sent Barnabas the “Greek Jew” to head the Gentile Church in Antioch when they heard that the Christian first had finally accepted by the Gentiles in Greece, because he too was a Greek indigene who would do better in evangelizing he fellow Greeks. Likewise Paul the Roman Jew was divinely called to evangelize the Gentiles of Roma Empire for the selfsame reason that he too was a Roman Citizen, which he did perfectly well . Note too that Peter who was sent to evangelize the Jews in Judea found himself at logger heads with the Gentile Christians he visited in Antioch when he was misled buy his fellow Jews from Israel to be DISCRIMINATING against the Greeks as if they were UNCLEAN GENTILES, of which Paul had to call him to order in the presence of the entire Church until he was “constrained” to go back to with his fellow Jews to Jerusalem. Proving that it is Biblical that the indigenes are better at evangelizing their fellow indigenes who speak their own language and understands their own customs much better than strangers who don’t and end up offending, ostracizing and discriminating against the indigenes that leads to DISCORD & DISUNITY in the Church as is now evident in the Benin Diocese and other dioceses were such misfits and strangers are elected “Diocesan Bishops” against the desire WISH & WILL of the people.
Even the Almighty God respects the desire, wish and will of the people in such matter as choosing their leaders for them so that there will be peace and unity amongst the people as it was in the case of Samuels the prophet and judge of Israel, whom the Israelites told that they do not want his son to become their leader and judge. But rather he should appoint a KING to rule over them like in other nations and God Almighty commanded the resisting Samuel to do just that. Eventually there came good and evil kings in the land but in it all the goodness and gospel of salvation to the world came of the “Kingship of David” in the Person of Jesus Christ the SON of David, whose THRONE of David will reign from everlasting to everlasting.
BELOW IS AN EXTRACT OF ONE OF THE MANY THE EDO LITHURGICAL GROUP “PRESS RELEASES”ON THE SUBJECT MATTER WE BELIEVE WILL EXPOSE MANY OF THE EVILS OF THIS EVIL IGBO BISHOP IN THE GOOD BENIN DOICESE WHO MUST GO BACK TO HS IGBO LAND BY FORCE, WHETHER HE LIKES IT OR NOT BECAUCE WE BENIN PATRIOTS OF BENIN KINGDOM HAVE DECLARED HIM PERSONA NON-GRATA!
THE CATHOLIC CABAL OF IGBO AND YORUBA EXTRACTION SHOULD NOT DARE TO UNDERESTIMATE THE “INDOMITABLE” WARRIORS OF BENIN KINGDOM AND THINK THIS IS JUST AN EMPTY DECLARATION AS THEY WILL SURELY HAVE CAUSE TO REGRET IT WHEN WE TAKE FULL ACTION TO FRUSTRATE OUT BY FORCE THIS "ENEMY” IGBO BISHOP FROM OUR BELOVED BENIN LAND FOR PEACE AND UNITY TO REIGN IN BENIN KINGDOM.
THIS IS NOT A THREAT BUT A WARNING.
RE: EDO LITHURGICAL GROUP PRESS RELEASE!
We clamour for an indigenous Bishop to help achieve proper evangelization of our land in accordance with the recommendation for the church in the document of Pope Benedict XV CF maximum iluid of November 30 1919 in which he said only a native can truly evangelize his people. The call for an indigenous Bishop
In less than two years of archbishop Akubeze coming, there appears to be a design by him to replace our people priest and laity in the Catholic Church. The Edo liturgical Group visited him on more than 4 occasions to find the way forward.
Among issues raised were
a. One Edo Mass for parishes at prime time in the entire Archdiocese.
b. That copies of the Edo bible and Missals be made available in the church
c. use of Edo songs at mass
d. priest in the archdiocese to learn to celebrate Mass in Edo Language.
e. the reinstatement of pa. Vincent Osakue to the knighthood which was withdraw for Akubeze and Mr Christ Aghimien as secretary of the laity council of the archdiocese of Benin City
e. the retention on the name Edo Liturgical Group.
Igbo Mass is a norm in every part of the Eastern Nigeria where the archbishop hail from. But he does not Edo Mass in Benin. We have been told that this is because Benin is a metropolitan town, should we therefore be made subservient to strangers. The second Vatical Council document state as a rule the language of a place where the church is situated should be used in worship. This rule is already being complied with the Eastern Nigeria while not in Benin. The language of the catholic church in Benin should be Benin as that of Onisha and Owerri is Igbo. In Italy the seat of the Vatican they speak Italian Language. We are now be force to drop our language to please the bishop while Onisha and Owerri continue to use their native tongue Igbo for masses, on Sunday and weekdays.
In spite of the so many peace moves made by the Edo Liturgical Group, Bishop Akubeze failed to accede to any of our request. He refused to approve the one mass on Sunday for the indigenes in all parishes in Benin City. Holy cross cathedral as a parish has 28 Sunday masses in a month while only one mass is said in Edo language for her indigenes. This means that the, of the 364 Sunday masses in a year only 12 is in the native tongue. Meanwhile, in Onisha and the entire Eastern Nigeria, reverse is the case. The use of Benin language as part of the mass is a taboo by Bishop Akubeze.
The present Archbishop had brought in 9 Igbo priests as at December, 2012 making a total of 34 Igbo priest in 12years. If bishop Akubeze wanted priest for evangelization, he would have taken priest from Auchi Uromi or Warri a people with language and culture similar to ours.
He has made stations with less than 20 communicant and were offerings are as low as 500 naira a Sunday parish. Each of the the 34 priest earn 90,000 naira stipend a month, expenses which amount to 3,060,000.00 million naira monthly or 36.72 million per anum. These funds could have been directed to meaningful development project in the Archdiocese. He place heavy levies on the parishes where he make money to sustain his takeover plan.
To buttress the fact that the priest are not here for evangelization. Only, Bishop Akubeze has found it difficult to make a rule that all priest should learn the Benin language for evangelization purpose. How do you preach to a native in Urhonigbe, Isi or Udo and expect him to believe that this new found God is superior to the one he can reach in his nativetongue.
We have been under threat and pressure from bishop Akubeze to change the name of our group from Edo liturgical group. Some Benin pries have been forbidden from saying Edo mass. These pries refuse to associate with us for fear of being victimized.
We summarized our point against Archbishop Akubeze as follows.
a the Archbishop deliberate refuse to allow Edo Mass at prim time on Sundays and the prevention of Edo songs and it usage as part of mass in parishes within the Archdiocese of Benin city.
b the 34 Igbo priest from the eastern Nigeria are not meant for evangelization but for take over of Benin. Most of them are post graduate student of universities around Benin.
c the stipend due to these 34 part time pastors has its burden on us extra taxation while they pretend to be doing job of full time pastors.
d. priest who say the native mass have been declared infidels and marked for punishment.
e. of the key position in the diocese , secretary, Bursar and vocations Directors, none is held by a Benin. What is going on in the catholic church of Benin City is hidden from the indigenes.
f the key position deans of deaneries in villages is given to Benin priests. Iguobazuwa and Abudu deaneries. Benin City itself is under an Igbo.
g. Mr. Chris Aghimien was removed as the secretary of the Laity Council Benin Archdiocese and Pa V.N.E was de-robed from the order of the Knights of Saint Molumba in 2011, as an order he joined over 40 years ago, for daring to ask for a Benin Bishop for Benin Archdiocese.
h. The archbishop’s insistence that the name Edo Liturgical group be proscribed from the Catholic archdiocese of Benin City.
i. He stoped our announcements for meetings from the bulletin and the pulpit.
j. he canceled the part native mass of the third Sundays of the month at Holy Cross Cathedral in Benin city.
k. On Christmas Eve on the 24th December 2012, he ordered Father Festus Omede to stop the Edo Chorus that was being taken at Midnight Mass. Consequently on New Year’s Eve on the 31st December 2012, the choir did not dare sing an Edo song. On the re-dedication of the Saint Paul’s Catholic Church on the 12 June 2013, no Benin hyme was song by the choir in a church built in Benin City with Benin funds.
l Since the installation of Bishop Akubeze, there is an annual Igbo Mass, which began with Gbuji, in a city where the indigenes are forbidden from speaking their native tongues at Mass. Has Igbo language become the language of the Catholic Church? This seems to be another form of colonization.
We hereby demand as follows:
1( The removal; of Archbishop Akubeze from the Benin and a Benin priest made Bishop and Archbishop in his place for the true evangelization of the people of Benin.
2. That the 34 priest of the eastern Nigeria brought in by bishop Akubeze and his predecessor be replace by diocesan priest from Auchi, Uromi or Warri.
3. Edo mass be made compulsory in every parish at prime time within the entire archdiocese of Benin City.
4. The name Edo liturgical group be allowed to remain.
IVIEDO WA RHIORRE!!!
