Sometimes our folks lose their way on the way to making a point.
How many homosexuals has Daura exposed in "Daura"?
A full 10-15% of humans are homosexual; that's nothing new and that age old "touchstone", of the "purity" of yester years aren't going to hunt here!
Our culture exists above the "mores of humans" so any of these discussions J view as absurd!
Where they - the colonialists - strengthened us was on the proclivity to stigmatize.
They reinforced the terror our men have of our women in supporting the misogyny that Christianity and Islam. One of the reasons that you have predominantly male societies among some of these theocratic types is how do you have a conversation with a person - a woman - you've deliberately made illiterate?
Tonight drive by any "bar" and I'll wager if you wander in that you're going to be interacting with multitudes of latent homosexuals; men more comfortable in the company of other men; they'll swear they aren't, but many of them are woman hating misogynists masquerading as heterosexuals.
Take the - frequently ignored - battle by Princess Uyi for the Benin throne prior to the elevation to the throne of Omon Oba Akenzua - of blessed memory - and you'll see a group of men - in us - perpetually looking over our shoulders at our women in abject terror.
Some of us won't admit the truth and that is that far worse than colonials we hate our women even more than we hate ourselves
